Peggy Cozzi

Peggy Cozzi’s practice is rooted in the expressive relationship between gesture and colour. Rather than imposing an image, she allows each painting to emerge through an intuitive dialogue with paint.

Working between instinct and intention, Cozzi explores the capacity of colour and mark to evoke psychological and emotional responses. Using paint to suggest illusion, memory and the unconscious. Her balanced compositions, animated by gestural brushwork and subtle contrasts, invite contemplation rather than description.

Cozzi's paintings do not depict the visible world; they evoke inner experience. Through a refined interplay of colour, form and process, her work creates spaces that are both immediate and elusive, where abstraction becomes a vehicle for imagination and emotional resonance.
