Mary Flora Hart
Layer by layer, Hart constructs vivid digital worlds that fuse urban life with surreal natural overgrowth—her intricately rendered scenes unravel cultural tension and beauty in the everyday, exploring how nature reclaims space both literally and psychologically.
Hart creates highly detailed and immersive scenes capturing cultural significances. The Urban Eden series explores modern scenes with a small psychedelic overgrown twist, responding in part to the Covid-19 situation but also using the juxtaposition to consider our relationship with nature.
Hart is London born illustrator, she attended Arts University Bournemouth where she studied Illustration BA and graduated in 2020. She specialises in highly detailed scenes created digitally using Photoshop with a Wacom tablet.

“I find the most effective way of working is to start a sketch digitally and continuously build on top of that, working in layers so I can play around with the content and the layout throughout the development.”
