Andrés Senn

Senn’s artistic practice centres around the use of generative processes to create digital images. By employing computational algorithms, Senn triggers a series of operations that result in the generation and dislocation of the image in an unpredictable manner.

His focus lies on creating these algorithms that act as matrixes of prints in the digital age, a concept that he defines as “generative art”.

His exploration of the synthetic world and its relationship with the senses is a central theme in his work. Senn expresses sensations that evoke memories of the senses through starting from simple geometric shapes. His compositions build upon repetitions of these elements to create increasingly complex layers. He embraces the aesthetics of error, fragmentation, and deconstruction of the image, which incorporates deformations, movement, temporality, and transformation.

Andrés Senn lives and works in Argentina.
