Agnieszka Maria Zieba

Zieba creates immersive fantasy worlds; experimenting with flat and deep perspectives, transparency, and blurred spatial effects. The playful scenes she creates draw inspiration from an insect’s point of view flying between flowers.

We experience an overpowering of the senses, her work reminiscent of luscious Baroque floral still life paintings as she transforms the viewer into a world where nothing seems to be as it is. She shows us an insight into her world by creating a snapshot of beauty while maintaining a very reduced, elegant composition.

Agnieszka Maria Zieba now lives and works in Wermelskirchen, Germany.

Zieba uses digital techniques to create a surreal world, she is fascinated by the beauty of nature at every stage of flowering, from budding to withering. A dreamlike vision is evoked with a composition of beautifully vibrant flowers which symbolise the transience of everything earthly.

“My intention is to take a snapshot of beauty and, above all, preserve that beauty for the future.”
